The Show That Never Was

Posted by: James Williamson

Hi everyone! Just wanted to add a quick post about our podcast (or lack thereof)! Josh and I are not on hiatus, we actually cut Episode 8 (it was to be titled, "iPod HotMods" let your imagination run wild about that one...), but had some serious caching issues that did amazing things to our audio tracks. Although the first half of the show was fine, the second half sounds like something out of a Timothy Leary camping trip.

Add that to Josh going on vacation and my speaking at an accessibility conference this week, and well, you get what we've got now...which is no show. Maybe we'll reissue the first half later on in a "lost episode" special session...or maybe not.

So, we'll be back next week! Not sure if we'll re-visit the iPod HotMods, or go in a different direction, but it should be interesting. We have some great interviews lined up, Mike Davidson of Newsvine, Brad Becker from Microsoft, Lydia Varmazis from Adobe, Aral Balkan from FlashOS, and Garo Green from Lynda.com will all be on the show in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Be sure to add your comments or suggestions to podcast@lodebearing.com, we'd love to hear from you!

And since we've had to postpone last week's show, we'll be extending the contest for another week. Be sure to enter the patently obvious contest for a chance to win a $50 gift car to iTunes!

Catch you next week!

-James.

Episode 7: Kelly Goto

We'll read all the good ones on the air! Contest ends on March 31, 2006.

Episode 6: Patent Pending

Posted by: Josh Cavalier

This week we take aim at the downright bizarre decision of the US Patent & Trademarks office to award a patent for Rich Media Applications to Balthaser, Chappell's Block Party, the Ricky Gervais Show, Apple's not-so-big announcement, and laser tatooed koi. We've also got a new contest for you guys this week and some downright goofy tech news! What could possibly go wrong?!

Welcome to our libel-free episode 6, Patent Pending!
