Kevin Jackson

Kevin Jackson has been working in the computer field for over 20 years. Many of the technologies we take for granted today were, at that point, just in their infancy. In presentation work, he was there before there was a PowePoint program. In page layout, he was there with version 1 of Aldus PageMaker and of CorelDraw (and even Arts & Letters and Micrografx Designer, if your memory goes that far back). Layout skills led to working with electronic forms while they were in their initial stages. Bottom line is that he's grown with the industry. It was perhaps inevitable that the road would lead to Flash and now Flex.

As a consultant, his customers included IBM, Spiegel, Swingline, Kensington and Acco. Consulting work led to what has become a passion for teaching. At one time or another, he has taught almost every major design, layout and office product. In the (former) Macromedia line, he has taught the entire suite of Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Freehand. Due to the overwhelming popularity of Flash, for the last several years he has concentrated exclusively on Flash and is certified to teach all of the Flash (and now) Flex offerings.
